Albania
Albania currently offers a great deal of opportunity for entrepreneurship. Recently emerging out of a communist society, Albania has been moving toward a free market economy. Albania is still an underdeveloped country but currently with the opportunity to grow. Presently, Albania’s weakness lies in its corrupt government and lack of resources required for prospective entrepreneurs. However, the government is working diligently to promote investment opportunities in Albania, as well as making trade with nearby countries easier. One way of doing this was by signing the Free Trade Agreement in South Eastern Europe. In recent years, Albania has been trying to promote entrepreneurship among the youth. The promotion of YES (Youth Entrepreneur Seminars) seminars has had a positive impact on the young prospective entrepreneurs. The seminars teach entrepreneurship skills, financing, and most importantly for Albania, business ethics. Many of the young up and coming entrepreneurs are focusing more on technological endeavors. With the improving government, Albania will progress to a more stable economic society.
