Serbia & Montenegro

Years of poor management under Milosevic coupled together with NATO air strikes in 1999 have left the economy of Serbia and Montenegro only half the size of what is was 15 years ago. However, the county is rebuilding, both politically and economically. As stability is returning, there could be great potential for investors and entrepreneurs. Also, Serbia, along with several other Balkan states, is making preparations to join the European Union in 2012. That could make the present an opportune time for entrepreneurship in the former Yugoslavian states.
